He
Who Wins Souls Is Wise
Proverbs
11:30
Reunions can be happy
and joyful events. We enjoy being with friends and family. It is a time of
refreshing friendships and making new friends. We are encouraged in the
knowledge that there are those who care for us, and we care for them. When
we are apart, that time of separation may seem long and extended. However,
when we come together again and revisit memories, that time of separation
may seem as only a fleeting moment. It is good to be with those that we
care for and love.
There are many things that may separate us
from one another - sometimes a change of job or a move to another city.
Possibly we have just let time take its toll and we do not stay in contact
as often as we once did. We allow the concerns of this world to take one
of our most precious possessions - the love of those who care about us and
our well being! Time has a way of reminding us of things that are of value
and importance. Many times when we see that we are drifting away or we
have turned away from others who care for us, it may require a loving
reminder to bring us back together again. It will require care and concern
for one another.
God cares for every one of us. He does not
want anyone to be separated from Him - not even for a short time. He has
made provision for us to have fellowship with Him for eternity through His
Son Jesus Christ. Jesus has made a way to bring us back to God. It is a
joyful reunion for those who have been separated from God by sin as they
return to Him. There is Good News - we do not need to be separated from
Him. God is pleading with us to take the Good News of salvation to all the
world. He is asking us to plead with them to be part of the Greatest
Family Reunion of them all. God wants everyone to be reunited with Him for
eternity, and to be a part of God’s Family.
“The
fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And
he who wins souls is wise.”
